Background & Experience

Sue received her AD in Nursing from the University of Maine at Augusta in 1980.  Clinical experience included both primary and team nursing at the VA Hospital in Togus, Maine.  She completed the Critical Care Course at Maine Medical Center and worked in the Coronary and Special Care Units.  Following a move to Portland, she continued working in this area at Mercy Hospital.

Sue began working in research in 1991 on a per-Diem basis at Clinical Research Management (CRM), an independent 18-bed unit that conducted Phase I thru Phase III clinical trials.  In 1993 this position became full time.  In 1995, CRM became part of MMCRI where she has coordinated projects in various specialties for MMC including the establishment of what is now the BioBank.

Sue received her certification as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from ACRP in 2000.

Currently, Sue is a member of the Clinical Trials Office working as Float Coordinator for: MMP Pediatric Specialty Care with Wendy Smith, MD; MMP Surgical Care with the Vascular Surgeons and MMP Neurology with Eric Dinnerstein, MD on Alzheimer’s Trials.
