David J. Gagnon, PharmD, BCCCP, is a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at Maine Medical Center and clinician-researcher. He completed his pharmacy education at Northeastern University and post-graduate training at Tufts Medical Center (PGY-1) and Maine Medical Center (PGY-2). Dr. Gagnon is a Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist (BCCCP) with a focus in Neurocritical Care.
Dr. Gagnon’s research focuses on the pharmacologic management of pain, agitation, and delirium in the intensive care unit. He also investigates pharmacologic interventions during post-resuscitation cardiac arrest care and therapeutic drug monitoring in critically ill patients. He has published widely on these topics and lectured across the country.
Dr. Gagnon is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, Faculty Scientist I at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, and the Critical Care Scholar-in-Residence at Maine Medical Center. He is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care Society.
